"If I Were Lamentable" is a vocal past Swedish vocalizer Frans Jeppsson Wall. The song was released in Sweden as a digital download on 28 Feb 2016, and was written by Frans along with Fredrik Andersson, Michael Saxell and Oscar Fogelström.[i] Information technology took function in Melodifestivalen 2016, and qualified to the terminal from the quaternary semi-final.[two] Information technology afterward won the finale with 156 points and represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 where it placed fifth.[iii] In the weeks after the semifinal appearance the song charted in the Spotify Viral charts in Switzerland, Taiwan, Republic of iceland, Uruguay, the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, Spain, the United states, Norway, French republic, Denmark, Turkey and Frg.[4] [5]
Melodifestivalen and Eurovision [edit]
"If I Were Pitiful" participated in the fourth oestrus of the 2013 Melodifestivalen, which was held on 27 February 2016 at the Gavlerinken Loonshit in Gävle. The vocal was the fifth of the vii competing entries to perform and straight qualified to the contest final every bit one of the two songs which received the most telephone votes.[6] On 12 March, during the final held at the Friends Arena in Solna, Frans was the tenth of the twelve competing acts to perform, and "If I Were Sorry" won the competition with 156 votes, receiving the highest number of public votes and the second highest number of votes from the international juries.[7]
By virtue of winning the previous yr's contest and being the host state, Sweden automatically qualified to the concluding of the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm on 14 May. "If I Were Sorry" was performed in the ninth position of the 26 competing entries, and Frans after finished in 5th place, receiving 261 points in full, 139 points from the public (including the maximum 12 points from Denmark and Republic of iceland) and 122 points from the juries (including the maximum 12 points from the Czech Republic, Estonia and Finland).[8] [nine]
